St Mark’s Catholic Primary School Nurturing Hearts, Inspiring Minds, Building Futures

  • Welcome from the Headteacher

A very warm welcome to St Mark's Catholic Primary School.

We hope our website gives you a glimpse into what makes St Mark's such a special place to learn, grow and flourish. We are proud to be a caring and inclusive school where every child is known, valued and encouraged to achieve their full potential.

As a community of faith and learning, Christ is at the heart of everything we do. Our mission statement, "With Jesus, Live Life to the Full," guides and inspires us each day, shaping the way we learn, work and care for one another. Through our Catholic faith, we nurture pupils' spiritual, moral and personal development, helping them to grow in knowledge, confidence and compassion. Our six core values, the 6Rs, are deeply rooted in Gospel values and underpin all aspects of school life.

We are fortunate to have a wonderfully diverse school community, bringing together children and families from a wide range of cultures, backgrounds and faiths. We celebrate this diversity and the richness it brings to our school. At St Mark's, every child is welcomed, respected and encouraged to make a positive contribution to our community.

We are incredibly proud of our children. They are enthusiastic learners who demonstrate kindness, resilience and respect. They support one another, care for their environment and embrace the many opportunities available to them through our broad and enriching curriculum. Built around our four pillars and centred on Christ, our curriculum aims to develop confident, curious and compassionate young people who are well prepared for the next stage of their education and life beyond school.

At St Mark's, we greatly value the partnership between school and home. We believe that children achieve their very best when parents, carers and school work together in a spirit of trust, respect and shared ambition. We welcome the support, ideas and involvement of our families and are committed to being approachable, supportive and always willing to listen.

If you would like to find out more about our school, please do not hesitate to get in touch with the school office. We would be delighted to welcome you to St Mark's and show you what makes our school such a special community.
